Animal-derived components that have been used in traditional cell culture media are associated with safety risks, lot-to-lot inconsistencies, and other issues. On the other hand, in AOF media, all of the components are evident, which makes it relatively easy to modify the properties of MSC by changing the components in the medium and to provide high reproducibility. This is a significant advantage when developing cell culture media.
In addition, our company has our own database in which knowledge and information on cell culture media (protected as know-how) has been accumulated since 2007 and we have technology to modify the composition of cell culture media using mathematical methods (patent application 2021-067943). The use of these technologies has enabled the rapid and stable development of cells with enhanced disease-specific therapeutic effects.
